STEP TO EMPOWER Joins NCVO

We are pleased to share that STEP TO EMPOWER C.I.C. has joined NCVO — the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, becoming part of a community of more than 17,000 voluntary organisations working to strengthen civil society across the UK.

For STEP TO EMPOWER, this is another important step in our organisational development and our journey towards becoming a stronger, more sustainable community organisation.

Why NCVO membership matters to us

STEP TO EMPOWER was founded to support displaced Ukrainians, refugees and migrant communities in the UK through programmes focused on wellbeing, confidence, skills, employability, leadership and community participation.

As our organisation grows, we believe that creating meaningful impact also requires strong governance, continuous learning, sustainable partnerships and connection with the wider UK voluntary and community sector.

Through our NCVO membership, our team will have access to practical resources, organisational guidance, training opportunities, sector insights and a national network of voluntary organisations.

We look forward to using these opportunities to strengthen the way we work, develop our team and build new connections across the sector.

Partnership has always been central to STEP TO EMPOWER.

We believe that organisations can achieve more when they share knowledge, experience and resources rather than working in isolation.

Joining NCVO gives us another opportunity to learn from organisations across the UK while also bringing the perspective and lived experience of a refugee-led community organisation into wider conversations about inclusion, integration, leadership and community development.
